July at the earliest - clubs do not want to commit to wages throughout the Summer and everyone has to take into account player/agent hols etc. He has also said they are looking at many players - unfortunately you can't do anything other than take that at face value.

I'm not sure how interested we were in Parkin, although it seems we did table a bid - no great loss in my opinion. Ashton finally coming out and committing to us is great (but then he knows he can leave after January anyway if he wants to).

I think there is a place for optimism if we can keep the squad together as it is at the moment and bring in a few fresh players.

I also think (controversially maybe) that Francis would be a good asset for us next season, if he stays, as long as he realises he is going nowhere and throws himself behind the cause.

BFJ was always going to have to move before Worthy anyway - his funds are severely limited and has a greater need for new players.
