I agree with them.

I'd rather keep with what we've got, rather than say this proposed deal for McLeod. Keep the money for January...

The only chance we have of signing someone is as cover for Drury - ie someone who will know they don't have a lot of chance of playing....therefore either a) a journeyman, or b) a no-mark. Can you say that the fans will be happy with either of those situations ?
