well you need an amp - otherwise your speakers have no power/control
i'm sure you can pick up a very cheap hifi in second handland or somewhere. what about ebay?
have you got separate speakers on your computer? They would have their own amplifier. With a bit of know-how i suppose you could reroute the amplified signal to your big speakers. In fact, i guess you could do this directly from your DAB, but if you don't want to cough up for an amp i doubt you'd be willing to risk ruining your digital radio.
