Very hard to say without seeing the ball
If it's a quarter seam, then it could be a combination of moisture, poor manufacture, sharp edges on a hoarding, you name it. But as you say, it's unusual to appear after only 60 overs unless it's a very poor ball, and the umpires will have a pretty strong conviction that it's not all natural.
