I Agree...
Neil will say things like transfers are complicated things and not all the money is paid at once etc etc etc, however, when we buy someone, we're then told we have to allow for the "?3 Million spent on Earnshaw" etc, as if it has gone out immediately.
Its puzzling.
I actually think, and have done for some time, that the transfer market will calm down and actually become sensible if FIFA legislate that whatever the cost is, the buying club HAVE to pay the amount agreed, all at once. No installments, no "?x for this, that and the other", agree a fee, pay it in full, and thats it.
Would bring prices down I think and re-introduce sanity in the market.
