Last year was a learning curve for him. He'd never managed in the big league before...

...and therefore last year was forgiveable. This year is the crux - see if he has learnt from his mistakes, if he has then, for my mind, he is proving himself.

We've already highlighted (and been told, in so many words) that there won't be much activity before July 1st. We also don't know :-

a) how much cash is available
b) who has been contacted
c) who has turned us down because they don't fancy a move to the country
d) who we have already agreed terms for.

So we'll have to wait (and speculating if you want, although it won't do you any good) and see whether he has learnt from the last two seasons...
