Why does comparing a transfer with another that didn't work out make sense?

Worthy once pulled of 2 loans that got us promoted, he's since got s**t loads more in the same vain of repeating that stroke of luck to no avail

It's not going to stop him doing it again this season just because once it made his managerial career here is he?
