who prefers athletes to footballing ability our main tactic as soon as any pressure is put on us will be to pass it back to the centre halves or full backs who will then hump it downfield. Unless you're suggesting we'll suddenly we'll make a dozen or so signings of players with technical ability instead of ability to run around and clap lots then we NEED a target man. Sutton fits and is available, has expressed an interest in playing for us again, and could do us a good job. Also he will add valuable experience having played at top level and won loads of trophies in England and Scotland, and might well get the best out of younger strikers like Jarvis, Henderson etc by giving them a better role model than the likes of Thorne will ever provide... Massive missed opportunity from someone once again demonstrating his fundamental lack of knowledge about the game...
