My brother was at the academy for 7 years, he was released at 15 for being to small, hes now 18 and a bout 6 foot. Its f**king crazy! But its becoming the same everywhere. I went to watch Ipswich youth against Fram the other night, Ipswich bought on this huge black guy, he was quick and powerfull but had about as much footballing ability as my Nan, it was painfull to watch! It seems like they go on the basis of footballing ability can be taught but speed and physique (to a certain extent) cannot.

This is part of the reason why our national side are light years behind other nations, our technical ability and skill levels are appalling! We rely on Bulldog spirit, fitness and muscle!
