Spot On, Duck...

When the noises were made about Hulse I thought it was appeasement-after all, the club normally blusters on about how it doesn't talk about targets until we have signed them-and, to be fair, they are normally true to their word.

All the spin about Hulse etc made me think it was to get the fans thinking we were after players, and for the club to be able to look as if it was after new and quality signings, only for the nasty selling clubs to thwart us at every turn.

Hence the line "...we tried, we made calls, we made bids, but no-one (sniff) would co-operate with us..."

Fans therefore thinking "...my wonderful club, the management are trying SO hard and bastard Leeds etc are holding back our plans and ambition..."

Sympathies towards Munby, Doncaster and Worthington.

Although I don't think it works quite like that, although I suspect there are those at the club who think we might see it that way?
