In fairness, Hawkeye has not got into football yet...
nothing to do with BBC (Sky don't have it for football either). Anyway, Hawkeye is an independt company that is sold to the broadcaster for use on stats etc.
And anyway, the World Cup was German coverage, hence why crap on replays and always focussing in on managers and the ball etc. Wimbledon coverage was by BBC, so they could use the hawkeye for that....
Hoep that helps. For what its worth, I actually think the BBC coverage was 10 times better than ITV.
