BBC World Cup Coverage
Noted throughout Wimbledon that they had lots of facts and analysis-where "x" serves, what stroke "y" plays to, etc etc.
Wish the BBC would have a bit more analysis and study games and moves from more of a technical viewpoint at times.
Are they "dumbing" down football-in Hansen's "early days", they did a lot of this, but don't seem to so much now.
Still like Hansen. Lawrenson as co-commentator makes me realise how good Brooking was! Ian Wright offers nothing. Leonardo was excellent and I like Martin O'Neill as well-but he gets interrupted whenever he tries to make a technical point which is a shame.
Would be nice to see an older panellist -someone like Jimmy Armfield, who is excellent on 5 Live-and perhaps a referee or top level coach, someone like Peter Taylor as well.
Overall still think BBC are superior, but their standards are slipping, would imagine Motson will be winding down a bit now. Miss Barry Davies though!
