FAO Tombs and Bowie-istas
Thanks for reminding me about that You’re Not Alone show at the Lighroom Kings Cross, I’d formation to book and it only run until 10th January. So thanks for that.
Also next year there’s another project being launched, a multimedia, arena presentation of the 1978 world tour footage. Starting in Berlin in February.
I think for the London one we might do a Bowie day and visit the amazing collection of his archive at the V&A East Storehouse before the Lightroom. We went to the exhibition at the normal V&A about 12 years ago, that was brilliant.
I was lucky enough to see him live just the once at the much maligned Glass Spider Tour gig at Wembley in 1987. We didn’t have tickets but the touts had loads going spare and I think we paid £18. I loved it but I think people forget that he wasn’t always as popular as it’s always depicted. I mean, it was still Wembley and not down the Dog and Duck but it wasn’t a sellout. The tour got panned at the time.

- It was strange. I did enjoy it though. I remember a bit where he walked off a tower thing (General Chat) - Augustus Pablo, Oct 29, 12:52:38
