He will also have developed and learned a lot since then. Had we not sacked him I am sure that it would have taken us years but if he'd been backed he'd probably have got us stable in the PL eventually. And we would have avoided the Smith, Wagner, JHT and Wilshere periods. But I am under no illusion that he would have kept us up that season.
