I was at Wright Patterson Air Force base.
We were testing Jet engine emissions for the week in a joint project between the University, NASA and the USAF.
I was not a US citizen at the time although I did have clearance.
We walked into the conference room with NASA and USAF bigwigs, they were playing the news on a TV.
Everyone was dumbfounded and in a panic.
The whole base went into lock down and they got everyone to leave including the top generals.
Only MP's were allowed on the base.
