Haha. And this is what happens

Two years ago both bbc and Grauniad were happy to treat as fact what they had been told: "Arday didn’t speak until he was 11 and couldn’t read or write until the age of 18."

Now, however, everyone seems to be a little more cautious: "In it [the book] he claims to have learned to read and write aged 18..."

The world would be a much better place if we were a little more cautious about embracing such feel-good stories [see Salt Path, George Santos and many, many others]
