I was pleased when France scored early on as it meant Portugal had to go at them and probably change the system (I hate 4-5-1 and think teams that play it are looking for a draw or to snatch a 1-0, i love it when they concede early and the plan is then f**ked and they then cannot decide whether to bring on a sub and play 442 or persevere, but anyway thats another story!)

But Portugal for all there pretty play got nowhere! Its ok playing fancy one touch in your own half but if you are a goal down and your team have NO penetration, its pointless! France were poor aswell, got the goal, sat back and soaked up the minimmal pressure!

Rather than open the game up the goal didnt do anything! having said that if France hadnt have scored Portugal would have won on Pens
