Portugal reminded me of the last incarnation of Holland. They basically

pansy about with the ball in midfield, back to defence, back up to midfield, back across the field, and back again, appearing to be in control, but in reality a lot of the time the opponent is quite happy to not chase the ball unless they are behind, leaving Portugal to fanny around with the ball on the half-way line without going anywhere.
