As a Cycling Proficiency certified child of the 80s

I never, ever go up the inside of any vehicle when cycling. That's what we were taught. It's always made perfect sense to me. Way too much is expected of car/van/truck drivers. A little self preservation helps everyone coexist, and not get squashed.
