In the latest complete reporting year, 2024–25, the number of TV licences in force fell
about 24.1 million to 23.8 million.
So the BBC lost roughly 300,000 licences in one year, more precisely, the monthly figures indicate a fall of about 281,000 between April 2024 and March 2025.
That is around a 1.2% decline. they need to get in the 21st century and go to a subscription service.
