alas sadly not everything in the garden is quite so rosy

poor old fenton he's 15 now and not very well, lost a f**ktonne of weight and gone off his food so i've upped my game and am now giving him meat and poultry choice cuts.

he's got the canine dementias to boot and gets really upset if we have people over and repeatedly woofs from stressing tf out. he has his good days and bad now and is very wobbly on his legs and can't hop up onto the sofa or into the car boot so i have to nanny him and scoop him up as fearful he'll break a hip or his pelvis.

some mornings though he's right as ninepence and full of vigor so we will plod on and take each day as it comes. saddest thing of all though is he has developed a phobia about being around water so the days of him crewing me in the canoe tucked in by my side as my wingman are over and i miss that so much. he's a german pointer and i loved it when he scooted his way up to the bow over the seats and stood on the prow and "pointed", best thing ever. he's been the bestest of boys for me and hopefully we've still got some decent time together. woof.
