I think Portugal have a world-class midfield too.

Much as I think Cristiano Ronaldo is a snide, blubbering, cheating bastard, he's a genuinely quality player. Figo has the experience to match his enormous talent, Deco is perhaps the most exciting midfield player in Europe, and I think Maniche is hugely under-rated - always looks good in a Portugal shirt.

I just loathe the way Scolari gets his teams to approach a game (and always has done) - obviously he's been highly successful but his teams aren't particularly pleasant to watch and I (for one) am delighted that he isn't England manager.
