It’s the nostalgia factor

Many of us remember it as the first WC that we can actually remember - I was 12 in 1990 and truly obsessed with football.
I can vaguely remember bits from 1986 but not much.
I think views on here may be down to the age of those responding, together with England actually doing ok after being really bad at Euro 88.
Also Pavarotti…has there ever been a better WC theme than Nessun Dorma?
