Why just those three? It doesn’t make any sense.
If it was just Boro I guess you could kind of understand it, even if you don’t condone it. Such a massive game.
Local rivalry to one side, you could kind of understand it if it was just Ipswich and Boro. That game against Ipswich was very big too. Just those two…okay, maybe.
But Oxford? Just those two and then…Oxford. FUCK OFF. No way. Not buying it for a single second.
Those are just the ones they’ve been absolutely proven to have done. I bet if you asked their staff to account for where they were before every game, you’d discover they had spied on basically everyone since the manager took over. Presumably the tribunal has no power of discovery, so they can’t investigate that sort of thing. They’re just going on evidence that other clubs may have. But this smells an awful lot like systematic cheating.
Totally puts their extraordinary run into a new light. It’s been achieved through prolonged and extended cheating. No manager since Eckert took over has been able to spring a surprise on him. Not one. As he has advance notice of every tactical switch, every free kick routine, every surprise selection the opposition was planning in advance.
As Jumbo might say, hanging is definitely too good for them. Not least as they’ve clearly gone to the tribunal and lied through their teeth.
