Saying they all lie isn’t the same as saying they’re all the same

I do think that all senior politicians lie sometimes

I don’t think that that means they’re all the same in all meaningful respects

Some lie almost as a reflex action (Boris, Trump), some lie only when in a corner (Starmer), some lie when they feel the lie is morally justified (Blair)

They’re all very different politicians - the thing they have in common (IMO) is that they will all lie. So I don’t think that lying is a resignation offence in all cases

Anyway, look at me getting sucked into a politics debate on the wrath like a great Gumby 😉
