When he broke through but Sutton overtook him and he disappeared.
There was a goal he scored against Spurs when Gazza came to town and I remember a picture in the programme where his eyes were focussed on the ball and it was a brilliant lethal finish.
It was about the same time as the FA Cup Semi final against Sunderland where a there was a picture of Sutton’s balloon shot where his eyes were way in the clouds looking at nothing.
I remember thinking that only of those 2 was a proper striker!
