pre-season which presumably under Manning was less than effective. Of course that doesn't explain the similar issues we have with the more recent arrivals.

I believe PC wants to play a very high intensity pressing game which in itself runs the risk of muscle injuries if players aren't fully up to speed in terms of their conditioning.
