Half Time Scores

Definitely had men in white coats carrying a board round at half time with the scores from elsewhere. Everyone bought a programme in those days other games being played had a letter of the alphabet linked. You looked in your programme to see which letter of the alphabet linked to the scores on the board.

Probably carried on till early 1970's when they started announcing half time scores over the tannoy. Later than than that everyone started carrying (quite bulky) transistor radios.
