Touré, CDM and what comes next ...
I’m really encouraged by the Touré deal – fee, length of contract and his background all suggest we’ve backed Clement’s vision and added genuine upside rather than a short‑term punt.
The big missing piece now is still a proper ball‑winning 6, if we land the right CDM to sit alongside the likes of Gibbs/Slimane, Clement’s two‑CDM‑and‑a‑10 shape could really click.
Give this group another window and a full pre‑season and I genuinely think a serious promotion push over the next season looks realistic, even if the upcoming run is trickier than some wrathers are allowing for.
