My thoughts on the Knapper interviews… if anyone cares.

He seems like a genuinely decent bloke - but honestly, he looks so far out of his depth he can’t even see the bottom. Every answer was the same: “It’s on me.” Poor signings? It’s on me. Poor fitness? It’s on me. Poor pre-season? It’s on me. Poor communication with fans and media? It’s on me. Our current league position? Yep, that’s on me too.

At some point, if absolutely everything is on you, then maybe you’re not the right person for the job. Accountability is one thing, but when nothing improves, it stops sounding like leadership and starts sounding like someone who’s completely overwhelmed.

If all these issues really are down to you, Ben, then maybe it’s time to step aside and let someone in who actually knows what they’re doing.
