The sports scientists will know all the stats and those reports would be available. If the matches weren't right that's fine but manning had the same 4 or 5 weeks of training sessions to get things right. And 3 full months of a season which has had two international breaks before his sacking.

He's being a bit generous to Manning and still a bit snide towards Thorup.

It's not Knappers job to set the schedule bit it is his job to have noticed what lots of fans have that we have been fading on 60 mins and suggest Manning needs to improve fitness.

If he did suggest to Manning and it wasn't acted on he should have dispensed with Manning sooner.

If he didn't notice then it seems hes going to add it to the "I will monitor this metric" list jutnit feels like something that the manager and his 2 assistants who've left should have been sorting.

But for me it really on Manning. He just doesn't seem to have been drilling these players.

I remember that early article with Topic where he says Manning sat and chatted through film with him for ages. That's homework for the ancillary staff to work with them on buh.

Manning clearly a big disappointment in many ways.

I really feel for Thorup actually. I don't think he does a worse job with this squad.
