True but when he’s on, he’s not the same player

I am starting to believe that the quality of the players isn’t entirely the issue.

It’s such a tricky situation to resolve and find the right person to pin blame on.

Terrible players? It’s the players and Knapper’s fault.
Terrible manager? That’s Manning and Knapper’s fault.
Players and manager struggling under a toxic work environment? That’s Knapper and Webber’s fault.

My gut says it’s the third - I don’t think Manning is doing a great job but in certain environments, you make stupid decisions under stress and negative environments.

The club is rotten, there’s a good manager in Manning - at another club. There are good players here, with another manager and a better working environment for all without Knapper and Webber attempting to blame everyone else for their errors.

I’ve seen seen it and experienced it at other jobs I’ve had in the past, where a manager is failing and micro-manages you and scrutinises your work and shifts the blame onto you and you become so desperate not to make mistakes that you start making errors and soon start taking the flack for everything, even things you haven’t done. It’s an awful situation to find yourself in. The negativity just breeds further ineptitude. I think these players, this manager are both better than we’ve seen them this season. All three - Manning, Knapper and Webber - need to go now though, whatever chaos that causes mid-season.
