But football clubs arent run like, dont operate like, and are certainly not financed like, MLB franchises.

He's clearly a very astute businessman and we could do far worse, and we'll be able to plod along steadily and compete decently over time.

If thats the goal, great, spell that out so we can all settle down and calibrate our enthusiasm accordingly.

But as long as the club is still trotting out wanting to be a top 6 club, maybe it ought to be showing that it knows how to be one?
