Dropping dee isn't the issue it is how we do it...

Kenny slotting in as a 3rd CB, facing play is a good option but the ball has to be played quickly forward either over the top or through midfield. The problem comes when he recieves the ball facing his own goal and then takes 3/4 touches to turn and look for a pass, which often involves him faking a few passes and then as you say the def is set.
