Congratulations (through gritted teeth)
Cricinfo not even covering the Womens' final today. Hants have been going well though just lost 3rd wicket.
I agree with your comments on the state of cricket overall. When I was a lad, County cricket was 7 days a week, 2 3 day matches and Sunday league, with two other 1 day cups, but then there was a long off season and a lot fewer players going overseas. Difficult for them in the winter but great for us as spectators. Very little movement between clubs and overseas players stuck around (for Hampshire that include two Marshalls, Richards, Greenidge and Roberts then the Smith brothers). You got to know them and recognise them. We now have Washington Sundar in for 2 matches, doesn't feel like a team any more.
I also used to own the club as a member. Now it is a franchise of an Indian company. I worry what their line will be on 4 day cricket when it comes up for a vote again.
