However it was sad to see Ratcliffe power station dormant the other day, no huge mountains of coal waiting to be burnt, no trains unloading, no steam swirling from the cathedral like cooling towers. I tried in my mind to poetically link it to the end of my 4 years of shuttling APjnr back and forth to uni at Trent. 😓
