We need a system that works in the championship to get us promoted

Realistically, that will most probably be quite an attacking approach, that requires us to be good at using possession, even when the opposition is playing a low block.

If promoted, that system needs to be able to be flexed to be one that is effective on the break, and where we have less of the ball.

Really, I think the key is an effective central midfield, some pace, a reliable goal scorer and a team that contributes goals from midfield and defence.

If you have those things, you've got tactical options to change things in any game. If you don't have those, and plan A isn't working, you're stuck.
