So he has had two cracks at being head coach.... both stints barely lasted 6 months.

His last stint he was labeled as being too open without the players to defend.....

Yeh he was successful at Liverpool having high quality players at his disposal......

Surely we want someone more proven with a champs quality squad.

Please tell me what I am missing here?

This would seem incredibly risky by Knapper after JHT.....another manager with no proven EFL record or experience.
