they were also drawn a number which determined their team 'number' in the group (and thereby the order of their fixtures). The only thing preallocated was Germany's slot as team 1 in Group A (to ensure they played in the opening game) and possibly Brazil's as team 1 in their Group. But all the rest was determined by the draw.
