For large organisations, usually the big decisions that get made by the CEO don’t matter that much. People below the CEO will have planned out generally very good options that are finely balanced in terms of their merit. So it doesn’t really matter much which is selected - any will be about as good as any other. All that matters is that someone decides promptly when a decision is needed, and then manages the fall out for anyone attached to options not selected, so that the entire organisation can pull together to deliver whatever was picked well without bickering or dissent.
Viewed in that way, bingo spinner has a lot going for it. Certainly a lot cheaper than your average CEO.
