So basically, you've made a small mistake.

Unfortunately, relatively big consequences.

I'd own up ASAP as opposed to hiding it.

On this, I have experience. Made a mistake a number of years back that cost ?40k for not changing a number in a system. No implications, just what have you done and what can we do about it.
