They can’t use the chip in ball technology we see at world cups because adidas have the patent but since the premier league voted for SAOT after initially rejecting it, the provider has to have their tech tested in the stadiums which has been going on all season.

It was expected to have been ready to use by now but the testing not gone great so I’d be surprised if it’s ready this season now.

SAOT is just the type of tech and they all work differently depending on the provider
