why should an Egyptian or Senegalese ref be any worse?

the rules are the same, and since we don't have foreign refs in European leagues or CL the fact that they are not reffing there doesn't mean they didn't reach the standard. They are reffing in African internaionals and Champions League games. That's a bit of a colonial attitude you're displaying.
