Back in the day, yes.

COM+ was fine if you knew how to use it (in it's stateless, managed form like Enterprise Java Beans). Most didn't.

VB - refused to use it until v.5. 5 and 6 were fine for prototyping and simple interfaces. If you tried to build complex apps with it you were just not experienced. If you tried to build simple apps with C++, ditto.

VB.NET - never used it. VB is dead. C# is quite nice though (from a C background myself).

ASP is the devil's excrement.
