Honestly? Where do they drag this rubbish up from?

Not certain their choice of criteria but Duncan Forbes played on with a collapsed lung and along with Dave Stringer they were as hard as nails but in that era they were allowed to be much harder. Today they wouldn’t get away with it. Kevin Keegan once listed in Shoot magazine the hardest men he played with/against and I always remember Tommy Smith being his second choice behind Duncan Forbes.
