I've been watching pro-cycling all my life, my father was a sem-pro and I grew up on TDF

Lots of people talk about the 'intensely complex' tactics like its the latest blend of espresso down at Spitalfields Market.

Should you try to engage them on the details of that topic, they fade away into "yeah, but breakaways and cycle trains" like its something more than a bunch of blokes on bikes going a bit faster than the other and occasionally saying "i've got Covid" when they havent.

Think of the average 110kg, 45 year old man in lycra... thats your average cycling fan.
