Although I understand the position

I wonder if the desire to sell someone almost as soon as they show potential (Max being a notable exception) is longer term going to put players coming to the club. It's becoming more blatant somehow - and from a fan's perspective, there's no chance of us doing an XXL and really liking a player because we know there's no long term commitment from either side.
And yes I know for the player it's a job, and you'll always be tempted by a higher offer, but I'm sure if I were Andy I'd still be wondering how good I am, and if the offers don't come in having been told that you're up for sale, surely that's pretty disheartening.
