I am in no way downplaying the importance of women’s football or the fact that Webber

Could have said something something different regarding women’s football, but the constant criticism of something he said in the interview is frankly tedious. I certainly couldn’t care less want fans of other clubs think of him either. Yes he’s arrogant, yes he’s probably too honest, yes he’s made mistakes with recruitment, yes he shouldn’t have said he’s 90% committed when climbing a mountain…but FFS. When he’s good he’s very good, and there’s probably loads that he does that we don’t know about that he does which is good too. He needs to get things write this summer, which he clearly recognises, is trying to rectify which is good. I pleased he recognises we weren’t good enough (not that hard to see though) and is trying to alter things ie Ashley Barnes a niggly player with a bit of personality that we didn’t have last season. Webber is no fool and was upward trajectory until last season/season before. Give him a break and criticise this season instead of every facet of one interview.
