That contained Emi and Skipp. We dominated possession, had players that were always available for a panicky pass and the kind of defensive screen we can only dream of now to prevent them getting exposed.

I get the point that it’s harsh to say they’re THAT bad, but this season, without any of those helpful factors, Hanley has often been poor and Gibson (towards the end of the season before he got injured) looked like a genuine liability with and without the ball.

Didn’t we pay 10m for Gibson after this loan on promotion? Makes you think.
