My point is that there are loads...

of deliberate fouls by outfield players, not going for the ball, in every game, yet a lot of these aren't punished with a yellow, let alone a red. Lehmann is a cock, no doubt about it and deserved the red in this instance, but if the ref had allowed the goal then I think a yellow is sufficient for that type of foul.
